Arthur C. Clarke's Third Law: Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.
Magic And Religion
My religion is not based on magic however there are things in my religion which would definitely be considered magical in nature. Priests and Priestesses can employ simple forms of magic usually for healing or for divination. Gods and Goddesses can obviously do more.
Magical Attributes
Outside their own "special" magical attributes, there are certain things which many of the Gods and Goddesses can do.
Many can manipulate the properties of certain materials, i.e. warping glass or melting metals.
Many can travel nearly instantaneous from place to place.
Some can extend "life" as long as the person is not already dead.
Most, if not all, can become less than visible or completely invisible at will.
